I'm working with the monolithic stair tool in 2014 and am having problems getting the arrows and "up" labels to display. I have several identical stairs in the project so I've drawn one (the arrow and "up" show up just fine in this one) but when I copy it I lose them. I can't seem to find any option in properties to turn this on.
Does anyone know what the problem is? Thanks in advance.

When you’re coping grab everything, including text and arrow.

Silly me assumed that those things were attached to the stair ;)
Thanks!

stair by sketch - yes
stair by component - no

OK here's another one - I copied the arrows with the stair and now the "dn" label shows up on the upper level, but the "up" label and arrow are nowhere to be found on the lower level.

Go to level where arrow is missing, pick the arrow of original stair, right click, create similar and pick copied stair.

I think I figured it out - it looks like I have to select the arrows ON BOTH LEVELS to get them to copy. This seems ridiculous. The railings automatically get copied when I just select the stair, so why in the world would the arrows not? Come on Autodesk, this seems like a no-brainer. Why would anyone NOT want the arrows to get copied???

Thank you PijPiwo - that works too!
