hide objects in paperspace

i have a drawing that has 3d objects that don't show in paper space, if i change them to another layer they appear, how do i control that? i believe the views were created with mview.

Sounds like you might have certain Layers Frozen within Floating Viewport(s).

If no joy after checking that can you please post the drawing file so we can take a look.

ok, i finally had a chance to talk to the guy who did these drawings, what you do is click inside the viewport, then go to your layers and select freeze in current viewport. it seems that this is the only way to tell what layers are doing in a particular viewport.
