Room Colour Fills and Floors

There has been an issue for some time where if your floors are turned on room colour fills may randomly disappear (it doesn't even relate to where the floor is!). Does anyone know any way to fix this if I want to keep the floors switched on and solid?

By "floors switched on and solid" you mean that you have a solid fill pattern for your floor material? This is the case for when I've seen the room colors not showing up. If you override the floor fill pattern (hide the pattern, not the floor), that should solve your problem (if I understand your problem correctly).
