Area Plans

If I link a Revit file into a model, does it bring in the area plans for that file? if so, how do i display them? if not, how do i define area plans on the linked model? it doesn't seem to colour fill boundaries that i define!

You cannot link an area plan into another ( site plan ) file.

My suggestion is to use a (dumb) call-out from the (site plan) file to the linked file sheet containing the area plan/schedule/s.
