View Full Version : 2014 Floor plan callouts in single view only - always been this way?

I'm wondering why floor plan callouts will only display in the Parent view in which they were created. We have a project in which several callouts were made in a dimension plan, to show enlarged areas with dimensions. But then we also want the callouts to show on the overall noted floor plan.

Detail callouts behave like Sections and Elevations where you can choose to have it display in the Parent View Only or in All Intersecting Views, and you also have the Hide At Scales Coarser Than option. But Detail callouts do not behave like floor plans and IMHO aren't the best option for floor plan callouts since there are no underlay, color scheme, or view range options. It also makes those enlarged floor plans show up under Details instead of Floor Plans which is also not desirable.

Now that we have non-rectangular callouts, it's now even more of a pain to try to replicate a Reference callout on another plan, of a callout that's some weird shape.

Any thoughts or ideas of how to speed along the process, or a better way of doing things?
