Cloud Rendering does not render linked file

I've been cloud rendering but I noticed that my linked topography does not even show up. Why?

I had this problem in 2012, but not in 2013. (haven't tried 2014 cloud yet) I've heard rumors of linked models showing up wayyy off to the side, so your model maybe there, its just dislocated from the origin.
The only workaround so far is to:
1) bind the linked file
2) render locally
