I recently had a copy of an Autodesk BIM white paper authored by Phil Bernstein cross my desk. This paper dealt with building information model incorporation in the current construction market and graphically compared the drop in construction productive against the rise in efficiencies within industries that had adopted information modeling as part of the manufacturing process.
If anyone remembers the white paper I am refering to and can point me to a pdf file please let me know.

Nope, checked all those already. I've got someone at Autodesk trying to help as well. Thanks anyway Scott.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's from Phil's Vision Tour.

That's the one. I ended up with it after the Vancouver Vision presentation. Unless I missed something on your link it wasn't one of those listed.

Paul, am posting the BIM pdf to the thread rather than e-mail you direct (share the knowledge) so...from an ex-Mancunian pat relocated to Canada as a child, enjoy!

Chunk, thanks alot for that, very much appreciated.
On a side note, have you ever been back and were you from the red or the blue side of Manchester.
Regards, Paul.

Was last back 3 years ago. Still have family over that way. A family divided between red and blue, even on this side of the ocean. It's pretty hard to find coverage of the blue out this way, red holds the spotlight. At least until that fella from Tampa Bay takes control....

If you get the opportunity to hear Phil Bernstein speak live, don't miss it. He is a very convincing advocate for BIM and Revit. One quote (admittedly from imperfect memory):
"Architecture and construction is one industry that hasn't been outsourced yet. Everyone in this room can be replaced for $11 an hour by someone in Bangalore"
This was at the AIA center in NYC, and the whole room just shuddered.
Time to sharpen up those Revit skills.
