Line Types - Hot water lines vs cold water lines vs gas lines

Hi! Is it possible to create a custom line with letters for example to create a hot water/ cold water/ gas lines (ex. ----- H ------ = Hot water ----- C ---- = Cold Water ----- G ---- = Gas line)?

Line Type .... No

You can do a line based family though that has symbols and text. See example.

You can tag pipes with parameters that make them "look" like just lines with letters. These tags are showing the parameter value assigned to System Abbreviation for each Pipe System.

Thats awesome! Question thou Steve or anyone else did you have to place each of those tags? Or can you somehow tell revit to place a tag at equal intervals?

Can you make the tags be applied to the pipe automatically over equal intervals somehow? Ie multiple tags on each section of pipe say 2000mm apart?

No not really, not without the API (programming a routine to do it). Tag All will let you tag a lot of pipe at one time, but once, and that hasn't already been tagged.
