Hi
Please note I've *moved* this thread from the Training (http://forums.augi.com/forumdisplay.php?f=35) Forum to this one as I feel this particular Forum is a more appropriate place for such a topic.
Thanks, Mike

Hi
As you actually place the Radius Dimension you should be able to control its placement, is governed by the pick point ie.
Inside or outside or the Arc / Circle.
You can always Grip Edit the Radius Dimension after placement....
Have a good one, Mike

You didn't mention which Autodesk product you are using but the way I do it is as follows:
1. I set up a dimension style
2. While I have that dimension style active, I select "New" go down to "Use for:" and select "Radius Dimension" and "continue"
3. Select the "Fit" tab, under "Fit Options", select "Always keep text between extension line.
4. Under "Fit Tuning", select "Place text manually...."
I have found that even though I've instructed AutoCAD to place the text between the extension lines and above the dimension line, it doesn't always "listen". Step 4 allows me to place it where I want it. All lineal text will continue to be placed automatically, this affects the Radial dimensions ONLY.
Good Luck

In the Modify Dimension Style dialog box, go to the "Fit" tab. There you should see an option for placing text manually when dimensioning. Torn that on. This will allow you to place the text any where you want after pick what is to be dimensioned.

Can you select the dimension and then use the grip over the text to drag it inside the circle?

Hi
Please note I have *merged* two threads together as they both were dealing with the same question from the same person.
Thanks, Mike
