I have a new machine - Dell Precision T3600 , windows 7 64x, 16gb ram, Intel (r) Xeon (r) E5-1620 0 @ 3.60GHz processor, with Revit 2013 Architectural Design Suite, and Revit 2014 Architectural Design Suite installed.
When I open Revit 2014, I can not see either the Properties Palette nor the Project Browser. Both are checked of as being shown in the User Interface. I have even assigned Hot Keys to try and force them open that way, with absolutely no success.
When I open 2013 I have no issues.
I have uninstalled both suites, and even re-imaged my machine with the exact same results. I have used the same image for installing Revit on other machines with no issues.
Any one have any Idea what the heck could be up??????

Try selecting a entity and doing a right-click to get to the properties palette. If you can get the palette to appear double click the title bar to dock it and see if it docks correctly in the default location. I would then slightly reduce the Revit Window size to see if the Project Browser has become "undocked" off to the edge of the screen somewhere. I wonder if there is an ".ini" setting for this in the registry somewhere?

Tried that as well, with no results. I have two monitors and have moved the app around to make sure they were not popping up behind the app, NOTHING!!!!!!
This is driving me crazy, its one machine out of 100 identical, all installed off the same image......
I also looked at the registry and noticed that there is a folder in 2013 that does control visibility of the palettes but not in 2014???

I'm guessing you already tried going to a single monitor just to see what happens? We run duals here and I've never seen your scenario when moving from version to version. Wish I could be more helpful.

Turns out having dual monitors plays a part. The pallets were not docked and on the second monitor. When the primary monitor was switched, the pallets were now being pushed to a monitor that no longer existed (in theory).
I reset her Desktop Display option to just one monitor. Once the palettes appeared, I docked them back into the application, then re pushed the Desktop Display to Extend across the teo monitors.
Seems were Golden Now!!!
