TAgging Doors in Revit Groups

We have a project that has multiple elements that are being created as groups (ie. office modules, restroom, etc.)
All was good until we went to tag the doors. It is not letting us tag each instance indipendently so we end up with multiple doors with the same door number. Please tell me we don't have to exclude all the doors from the groups to tag them???
Any help will be appreciated.

Make sure the tag is using the Mark label, not Type Mark. You can tag doors with unique Mark parameters (Revit's parameter for door number) but not different Type Mark values.
