Cannot Convert Model Lines to Detail Lines

I don't know if it makes a difference, but I'm using LT. I imported CAD and did a full explode. This leaves the lines as Model Lines. I've been converting them to detail lines, but for some reason I'm now unable to. The button on the ribbon is still there, it's just grayed out. Any ideas?

Gah! Figured it out. I was in a 3D view trying to convert them. Noob move. .-)
