I downloaded our 2013 suite on to my computer, but am completing a project in 2013. Once I downloaded the new software, my 2013 ribbon is messed up. Every time I click on an element and want to edit it, I must click on the little oval gray button that is usually used to toggle through the various ribbon configurations. I need to hit that twice which acts as a refresh of sorts, then my editing info pops up.

For example: If I want to edit a roof, I go to my roof plan, click on the roof and then would normally select the "Edit Footprint" button that would show up on my ribbon. However, it doesn't show up. I click on that oval gray button with the black triangle in it, twice, then my "Edit Footprint" and associated tools shows up.

I've tried restarting revit multiple times and have restarted my whole computer. I didn't have these issues until I downloaded my 2014 suite, which I'm not currently using.

Anyone else encountering the same bug?

Yes, it's a known issue. The solution is to download and install the upgrade packages for 2013.

Yeah, amazing, we went to CSRW in Omaha about two months ago and luckily the first keynote speaker from Imaginit had already posted the link to the hotfix. Saved us from google searching an issue we didn't know existed before installing a new upgrade.

Didn't Arkin cover this or do you have a different issue? http://bimboom.blogspot.com/2013/04/lost-your-revit-edit-menu-after.html

Don't forget, Navisworks has issues after 2014 install too. :)
