Door header in RCP

I searched for this topic in the forums but nothing more current than 2007 has been posted (and the suggestions from then aren't working for me now) so I thought I'd post again.

I'm working on reflected ceiling plans and would like the door headers to show up in the RCP view (but not the door, frame, swing, etc.). I've tried adding symbolic lines to the RCP view in the door family but it only shows up in the plan view, not the RCP - I don't get it. I thought symbolic lines were view specific?

Does anyone have any tips on how to get the header to show? Thanks in advance.

Usually you just need to adjust the view range so the cut plane only shows the door header.

Doors are normally turned off is VG in RCPs.

The problem is that I have both 6'-8" doors and 7'-0" doors so I can't set the cut plane to just cut through the very top of the door/header.

I thought it might be a VG setting but all of the door categories are checked to be visible.
