want to rename layers in a script

but the layer has a space in the name and the script sees the space as an enter is there a special code to put in that makes the space recognized as a space. when i hand input the layer it accepts it so I'm not sure why it won't from the script.

Try placing the Layer name in double-quote marks ie.

"Layer Name"
