Dormers

I know that there are a couple of different ways to cut openings in roofs for dormers, but I can't get them to work exactly the way I want. Revit creates either vertical or horizontal cuts, not both.

How can I achieve the image attached in the model? I want it to cut like the green line rather than the way it is cut vertically and projecting below the dormer roof. Do I have to use an in place void?

Greg, if I'm right in assuming this is the only view you see this in, could you use Edit Cut Profile ?

If not, then an in-place void, as you say, is probably best .

I know I can edit cut profile, but this does not help for any interior views, etc. I was just wondering how one would model this as it would actually get built. I know that you can place an opening, but the two modes are to cut vertical or to cut perpindicular to the plane of the roof. THere is no option to cut vertical at the wall at the bottom and horizontal at the top.

I guess I will just cut it with an void.
