Summary: Please allow me to put component properties into template notes with a #N/A or similar denotation if the model inserted to the template does not have that property available.
Description: We do 80% sheet metal parts, and have to manually put the thickness of every part onto each drawing. The parameter for thickness is available once a model has been put in place, but is not available when editing the template.
While it makes sense sheet metal and part models do not share a common parameter set, it would be really useful to allow me to place these parameters into my preset notes for part, sheet metal, and assembly specific templates. When the parameters fail to load because the wrong model was inserted into the template a #N/A or [NULL] or other indicator could show the parameter is irretrievable.
This would reduce 1-2 minutes a drawing (not including re-work for missing it) on an average 10 new sheet metal specific drawings a day put out by our engineering group.
