Making contour lines dissapear in views

When I change site settings to show the contour lines in a view it shows up in all my different views. How do you shut this off so it only shows up in one view? Do you have to go to every view and shut it off? That would be time consuming.

That's what view templates were designed for. Create a view template for your typical plans then apply it to all the appropriate views...
