Question about Callouts?

I am trying to make a Callout of a Wall section. The section is displayed as an underlay and I detailed the underlay using the drafting tools. Now I am trying to make a Callout of the section and need to transfer the detail lines as well. How do I do this?

Hi RGecy,

The linework tool is view specific. You will need to apply it in the callout view also.

If you want to maintain a specific line type in ALL views, you need to use object styles. So,... you could set roofs for example, to a particular line weight and / or type or colour etc in the object style dialogue for cut and/or projection. That setting will then apply to the section and also to the callout, but can be over-ridden in either view by the linework tool.

If you drafted linework over the section, just copy it to the clipboard and then paste aligned into the callout view.

You could "duplicate with detailing" the section, change the scale (if necessary), and then change the crop regions of this new detail to the desired "callout" area. If you want to ref this detail from the section (or elsewhere), use a callout and check refenence on the options bar and choose this detail.

If Regcy used the linework tool on the section, then "Duplicate With Detailing", will revert the linework to the original object style in the duplicate view.
