The hatches for ACT ceilings in Revit are set to line weight #2. I've seen several older posts about the lack of control over this hatch without a sucessful work around. Has anyone found a method for changing this to line weight #1 in Revit 2014? Thanks.

Have to tried an override in visibility graphics?

The visibility graphics override only affects the outline or the color of the pattern not the lineweight.

AFAIK, ceiling object has assigned fill pattern line weight of #2 (notice that floor object with the same fill pattern viewed in the same RCP has line #1). I think, the only way to change the ceiling surface pattern appearance is to change the line weight value for that scale in Line Weights in Additional Settings. Unfortunately, this is a global settings, affecting all objects with line #2.

So nothing has changed in the last couple of software updates? Does anyone know why ceilings were moved to #2?

Do you print using the Grayscale or Black Lines settings? Perhaps you can either modify the Material to have a gray color surface pattern, or half-tone the ceilings (perhaps via View Filter to target those specific types of ceilings).

Yes, that has been our work around. We've been trying to limit our use of grayscale lines due to the variation in the quality of out of house prints and photocopying of drawings.

They are not assigned a #2 per say. Any Fill pattern used in a material is #1. The only way to control a Fill Pattern line weight is through a Filled Region were you define it in the type.
Our template never uses #1, that way we can control it

From what I can tell and have read in older posts, ceilings are using #2. See my attached screen capture. The same hatch is displayed with a ceiling object on the left and a filled region on the right. Lineweights 1 and 2 are shown above. Am I missing something? 94444
