Is there a way to stop the Event Editor form popping up every time I make a minor revision?

yes, turn off auto-rebuild in the surface properties.

Are you referring to the Event Viewer?
If so, then.....

Toolspace > Settings > Right click on Drawing name > Edit Drawing Settings > Ambient Settings > General > Show Event Viewer > No

This is drawing saved, so if you want it off all the time, set it in your template drawing(s).
