New here, hope I post in right area.

Running ADT 2006, using HP 5 button wireless mouse. Trying to customize two of the buttons. The mouse software only has button presets, not programmable, can only use any of the predefined options. My last HP HDX mouse broke. It worked great for me. But this new mouse, not so much.

I went to CUI, clicked on command to creat new command. Only want to add Undo and Cancel command to my mouse button 5 & 4. Then clicked on the Mouse Button, then +click, under mouse button 4 & 5, I cleared existing operations, then added (draged and dropped) the two commands that I wanted for those two buttons. I even added these commands to the Shift+click mouse button 4 & 5. Still does not work.

Not real familular with creating .mnu or .mns files, besides, ADT 2006 does not use .mnu files, switched to .cui files. I understand that they can be imported or loaded up, not entirely sure how, do not want to change mouse buttons 1-3, just 4&5.

Any help here.

What I have found necessary is to assign the command or pop-up menu to an unused keystroke combination in the CUI that your mouse software will allow you to assign to buttons 4 and 5. (Or, if there are no "open" keystroke combinations, then choose one that you do not use and reassigned it to your command/pop-up.)

Then assign those keystroke combinations to buttons 4 and 5 in your mouse software.

I have not had any luck getting commands assigned directly to mouse buttons 4 and 5 in the CUI to be recognized.
