I know elevations have been an issue in Revit for a while, I am just looking to see if perhaps anyone has found a good method recently; specifically I am looking for advice on the Linework tool.

My problem is that I am looking to use the Linework tool to increase the line weight of certain curtain wall panels, but when I do the lines are brought to the front of the view, and in my case, in front of columns and other curtain panels they shouldn't be in front of. I've attached a pdf for so show the issue. Does anyone have a fix for this quirk in the Linework tool? Any other elevation advise is welcome too.

Thanks,
RDD

I use the override by object for curtain walls....

As for using the linework tool, I change everything to as thin as I need to then use the linework tool from there...

Yes, that's what I have been doing, not ideal, but works better than the LW tool. Thanks.

make yourself a specialised view setting.
Go to VG (visibility graphics) and then the filters tab.
Create a new filter, choose walls and I am assuming your curtain walls have some identifying comment or family name etc to identify them and use this as your filter.
Now set your linework as you please in projection and cut, apply the filter and once its set up how you like, - in the project browser right click on that particular view and "create view template from view" save it with a recognisable name (Curtainwall) or something...
now create a new view of walls u want to see, right click on the new view in the project browser and "apply view template" choose the new one you just created "Curtainwall" and bada bing bada boom done. Now you can apply this to every view that has a curtain wall you want to see in this manner this way you only see the lines that are not supposed to be obscured by other elements
