Non-graphical column schedule heading

We have a project with enough columns we needed to split the column schedule into multiple columns to get the entire schedule on one sheet. Then part way through the project we removed some columns so the schedule now has less entries in it. therefore we do not need the schedule split into three columns, just two. However the third heading still exists in the sheet view and i cannot remove it. I have attached a PDF view of the sheet for reference. Any help in removing the third heading would be great! Thanks!

Assuming this is a basic schedule and not a graphical, select the schedule and you should get a little cross hair over each corner of each segment of the schedule heading.
grab the little cross hair on the heading you want to remove and drag it over on top of the other schedule.
It should disappear.
