We are using color fill to show departments on a large floor plan. Recently, a large triangular area dropped out. We have 7 users at 2 locations on the project using Revit server 2014. The dropout appears on everyone's screen. I find the triangular shape suspicious. I know that triangulation is one of the algorithms for covering areas. Any ideas?

(in the image, the problem is the blue area on the lower right)

Looks like a boundary problem. I've seen similar things (on much smaller scales) when area boundaries (or room boundaries) are deleted or otherwise modified in strange ways. Just a shot in the dark.

You have a similar problem in the dark orange in the upper left, just less visible and a little more "jagged".

It is not a boundary issue. It is a graphics issue. I have had this happen in the past as well, but I don't remember what the solution was. I thought I had posted on this topic in the past, but I can't find it either. So...

Are you dealing with links? Are the rooms in the Linked model? Are you including elements from linked models?
Do you have the Color Scheme in the foreground or background?
Are you up-2-date with your service packs?
Did you toggle Hardware Acceleration?

Cheers,
Jeff S.

Try moving the Color Fill to Foreground and see if it works

That did it. I had forgotten the foreground/background property.
