Has anyone run across a good Revit wall assembly for passing the Energy Code on exterior walls R13+3.8CI for wood framed construction? It also says R20. Can I just have a siding material, air cavity, barrier, densglass, stud, gyp. bd. wall. Doesn't that clock in over R-20 (does that need to be ASHRAE 90.1 adjusted?)
Probably more of a code question than a Revit question.

I’m not sure about the ASHRAE adjustment, but to satisfy IECC 2012 (for zone 5 that we are both in) I usually use 2x6 wall studs with R-21 batt insulation, or 2x4 studs with spray-in ccFoam with about R-6.5 per inch depending on manufacturer. That way, I don’t have to worry about insulating values of G.B., siding, etc. which are, I think, none or close to none.
The code also says that 2x4 wall with R-13 batts and insulated sheathing (R-5) are ok too. I use that system only with Dryvit though.
