What is the best practice for saving milestones and archives of Central Files. If you just save the central file to a new location will you get everything you need if you should ever have to go back to it?
Thanks

Yes.
1. You can copy the file to a new directory. However, when you open it for the fist time it will notify you that it has been copied and want to be a local file. You must do a save as at that point and check the "Make Central" option so it will be a stand alone project. It is a good idea to do this right away so others not familiar with central files don't get confused.
2. Or a better practice in my opinion is to open the central file after everyone has check everything back in and do a save as to a new location. Of course check the "Make Central" option as you do this. You'll now have a new project.
