Disappearing Blend

Hi,

I have added a model in place blend to an extrusion of a roof and then joined them and have achieved the desired result as shown on the roof on the right hand side of the photo. The problem is that I'm doing exactly the same thing on the left hand side, but even though I 'save', the next time I start up the program that blend has disappeared. This has happened several times now. Any advise?

Ok, what was happening was that the blend was showing up in another view as a solid grey profile and I was deleting it, so, problem solved.
