Carriage stair support Profile?

Does anyone know of a way to create a custom profile for a carriage stair support? The stringer support option is obvious, but the option to use another profile doesn't exist for carriage type support, and i can't find where the system family lives to try to edit it.

i'm trying to create a monolithic type stair (smooth underneath) with a shaped beam support beneath, not at the sides.

This is not possible with the stair tool and you can’t modify system family, but you can use beam tool to create stair support. It could be time consuming, depending on the stair shape.
Temporarily apply stair carriages, flush with the stair underside, so you have continuous lines to pick for your beams. Use coping tool (where possible), ref planes and levels to extend or cut the beams.
