how do you change the lines of Roof on Roof plan?

I created a roof plan. However the all the roofs are grey out as if they are overlays. I tried going in to visibility graphics to change the lines but nothing works. What could be going on here?

The most likely culprit is that the roofs are below the primary view range. In case that's not it:

Might it have something to do with phasing? Remember to check Phase Filters and Graphic Overrides. Also make sure that there are no element overrides. Also check that the Linework tool hasn't been used on them.
