Path along curved roof

Hi all.

I have a curved roof and it is accessible on foot by the public. In order to get a wheelchair up there I'm going to need a ramp and railings. How can I design the ramp to follow the curved roof? Is it possible to embed the ramp in parts into the roof considering it is thinner than the roof?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would use a generic model. Make an in place mass. Please upload a picture. It's very difficult to imagine without such info. :)

If it's curve in plan view then simply sketch the ramp as is. But i'm assuming it's sloping in section. Unfortunately Ramp can't be create as InPlace(go figure out why) so i would use a floor.
