why are my furniture and countertops see through?

How do I fix this? I dont see this problem anywhere else. All furnitures seem to be see through and I see my the floor hatch marks through those components

Is your view set to Wireframe? If so, change it to Hidden and see if that helps.

That's because wireframe, hidden, shaded are VIEW DEPENDENT. One view could be set to wireframe, when every other view in the project is set to hidden.

Wire frame can be very useful when an object is hidden behind or under another object and you can't find it. Set the view to wireframe and you can see what's underneath.

Or, the families were created so that none of the 3D geometry is visible in Plan View. What you might be seeing is model or symbolic lines instead.
