Hi all,

As the title says how can i copy or apply reinforcement made in a beam copy to another beam, i searched the internet but havent gotten far.

I tried reinforcement --> beams form the extensionspack but is says "the selected element is not a beam or the element material is not concrete".

Has anybody got an solution??

Greating,

Gerard

Are you trying to use the revit extensions or are you modeling rebar with the revit model rebar tools?
If the native revit, the bars are hosted by the beam, you're better off copying the beam and the rebar at one time.
If you're using the extensions, they are not really hosted by anything (at least they weren't the last time I used them) so I'm not sure what happens when you try to copy the bars. My guess is they will copy over, but again I'd suggest you use the modeling tools provided OOTB and not the stuff from the expansion pack.

I'm modelling the rebar with the rebar tools from revit.

We have a model where all the concrete beams, columns and walls are assemblies and assembly views. So copying the beams not really an option.

Can structural detailing be an alternative option??
