I've used Rooms to separate my yard areas (since apparently you can't schedule areas in a multi-category schedule) and am creating a points schedule for the project. Things are working well for the most part but as you can see in the video, some components will not pull the Room name into the schedule and I'm unsure why. In the video I move a group of components into another "room" and the name gets pulled correctly, but when I move them back to where they're supposed to be the room does not populate. Other components in that room are populating it correctly. I end the video by selecting the room to show that the plants are within it. Any ideas?

I wound up just creating similar on these and replacing them. Giant pita really, but it was the only thing that got it to work. Not sure why half the plant components in the project would work in one "room" and not another.

I had a similar problem with scheduling lights that was on the outside of the building. I ended up creating a new parameter for all lights called "service area" and then in my schedule I sorted them under their respective "service areas".

If anyone comes looking: I got this figured out. My landscape plan was created off level 1 and the rooms created in the same plan... you can probably see where I'm going with this. The plants that were correctly placed at my finish grade level wouldn't appear in the schedule. I had to adjust the base limit of my landscaping "rooms" to go deeper. I wish REVIT would allow you to change the base level of a room more easily. Setting a -3' offset to the base was the only way I could fix it.
