I have not found a clean way to build a roof with TJI interior structure w/ exposed back span exterior rafters (see attached autocad detail I am trying to build in revit). I have tried to build the interior roof structure as one roof and the exterior roof structure as another but when I do this I can not trim my walls as the siding is under the outer roof and the structure of the wall in under the inner roof. Also this takes a lot of time and does not work well for changes. Any ideas?95815

I don’t think there is any better, or any other way than modeling two roofs. I’ve been using this method forever and it has been working well for me so far. You can attach or join (or any combination of these two) your wall to/with both roofs. On the enclosed picture, the wall (one assembly) is joined with the main roof and attached to the overhang.
Or, you can create your ext. wall as two separate walls – structure and ext. finish, it might be easier and more flexible to work with.
