overlay - problem of showing too much

I dont remember having so much problem with the overlay function but it seems too much shows from the floor above. Things like floor hash marks and furnishing makes the drawing on the first floor too complicated. Is there a way to only show wall of the upper floor?

No, you cannot filter element in the overlay view. But if it's really important you could overlay views on a sheet though. That way you can totally control the display of that "overlay".
