View Full Version : 2014 Java error on loading Revit

A newbie on my team clicked the Revit icon multiple times in rapid succession. I guess he was expecting Revit to start instantly. Ultimately, three sessions started, but he started getting Java errors "The value of the property 'im' is null or undefined, not a Function object". We had to close everything, and we rebooted just to be sure. On starting a single Revit session, everything was OK.

It looks to me that there is a limit to how many sessions of Revit can be open at one time before throwing errors. I googled the error text and discovered this error comes from a Java event trapper "OnLoad", which makes sense in this context.

Anyone know if there is a limit to concurrent sessions of Revit?

Mike,

I had this issue as well this morning with only one session of Revit. I restarted and it was fine. Maybe there was an update over the weekend, not necessarily Revit.

That is exactly what we got, but only one user out of 10 currently using Revit got hit. Could Autodesk be distributing intermittent bugs? Never heard of such a thing!!!

As far as I know, I'm the only one that received this message (200+ person firm). Once again I know I'm special. ;)

Can you please expand upon this? IE is not our default browser, and it wasn't even running.

Doesn't matter, Autodesk is using it for that page.
