How are ways to create a Mansard style roof with Revit Architecture 2013?

For best results, try using the Cutoff Level instance parameter. Otherwise you can use two chains of lines the outer most defines the slope. This method is harder to control, IMHO.

I got my Mansard style roof to work with Revit. I created a hip roof and used the cutoff level in the roof properties box to "cut" the ridge off.. Then create a flat roof and join the two together.
