Is it possible to not show a level on elevations and building sections?

I want one of my levels not to show up on the elevations and sections. Rather than going into each elevation / section view and unchecking the box for the particular level head to turn it off, is there a way to globally turn it off?

Globally I think the only way to do this is to put it on a workset that is not visible by default in all views. There are some who consider using worksets for visibility control a no-no. YMMV

you can setup a view template that is automatically applied to new sections / elevations.. then turn off the levels there.

I agree, filters in view templates are really the best solution.
