View Full Version : 2015 It's release 2015 and there's still no good way of creating a lighting & ventilation schedule per room?

This is madness:

This wheel isn't squeaky enough to warrant Autodesk's consideration? The ramifications of allowing Room:Area in a Multi-Category schedule go far beyond this desperately needed piece of code-compliance that needs to be on a sheet. What are you good people doing to achieve this in REVIT?

what type of ventilation info are you looking for?
have you tried embedded schedules in space/room schedule? I've only used them for duct accessories (I'm a mostly MEP user) but it breaks down the duct accessories per space..don't see why that wouldn't work with lighting and then you will have your "ventilation" data in the spaces/room schedule available

this would be ventilation provided by fenestration. I'll look into embedded schedules. Thanks.

I've been trying pretty unsuccessfully. It looks like this blog post has exactly what I'm looking for:

specifically the last pic:

without any indication as to how to do it. It's been a very frustrating endeavor.

maybe this link will help with different model cat. of course
NOTE: your main schedule is actually a space/room schedule and i think that is the only schedule type that will allow you to nest or embed

yeah I'm using a room schedule. I needed to flip all of my windows so their exterior faced in in order to get it identified with the room... Thanks again for your help.

This is what I came up with. Used the lighting & ventilation values from the manufacturer. Still haven't figured out a way to have REVIT automatically schedule it based on the window family. Hopefully in the next release.
