Hi,

I am trying to place Spot Elevations in a Detail View (created with a Callout) but they seem only to pickup from the floor edges and not the floor surfaces?
Have found lots of people complaining about this but usually the fix is setting the check if the visual style is set NOT to Wireframe.

I have done these checks but still have the problem.

Checked
view range - Not applicable as is Detail View
detail level not coarse? Is Fine.
Visual style not wireframe? Is Hidden
Rooms turned off? Yes

Found this post from Succi describing exactly what I am experiencing.

Any of you facing this problem?

Is it because Detail Views do not have depth (no View range)? so it only picks up the edges?

We are using the workaround with Scope Boxes but if we get too many managing all of them can become a nightmare.

Thanks for the help.

Is it an elevation, or floor plan detail view? Both of mine show a depth.

In floor plan you can choose which part of the element you want to tag:

96331

Why do you need to tag the face? Wouldn't the edge give you the same value?

I am able to recreate your problem. It is annoying that I can't tag the middle of a space....

We are able to tag the edges, but, like you say, it is annoying that it does not pick up the face. It is more intuitive while tagging.

Thanks for your reply.

Same on-going problem here. Has anyone got a fix for this?
