Who has that drawing open??? I thought it was closed. :banghead:

Try typing "whohas" (minus the quote marks) at the command line & you will quickly be able to browse to the drawing in question to see who has it open for editing.

I put this (verify_arxapp_loaded "whohas.arx") right into my *.mnl file for my menu. This way you don't have to type anything. It will let you know who has it open when try to open a dwg.

AutoCAD 2005 automatically loads this file, if you get a read-only error, it automatically pops up the read-only dialog and states who has the drawing open. It is a very nice feature, we added it to our startup suite in 2000i so we could know who had a drawing open.

Boy! Sounds more like a programmer than a designer. I'd like to do that too, could you tell the process?

In a two man office like mine I just turn my head...slightly to do the same thing, but it's a pretty cool trick

Me too, lol. I work in a large company, but only 2 of us are doing the cad work.

The best thing about this command is that a co-worker of mine opened a drawing and it was in use, so he yells "WHO is in my drawing?! I'm doing a WHOHAS!" The name that came back was his own! he had the drawing open in another window! The best part was that he had to make a big deal of the drawing being in use, so when it was his own name, everyone around him died laughing!
