Hi all, just a few questions,

1) What is the best practice to develop complex geometry in Revit?
2) What is the easiest way to input the data into the BIM model?
3) Why can't different parametric modelers exchange their models?
4) Are there inherent differences in construction, fabrication, and architectural BIM design applications?
5) Are there significant differences between manufacturing-oriented parametric modeling tools and BIM design applications?

Thanks in advance!

1. Start here: http://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2014/ENU/?guid=GUID-ACC03901-54B0-45DF-9432-0C0C1A033BCB
2. What type of data do you want to put into the BIM?
3. Because it is not in their interests as seperate corporations. The IFC file format is a leading attempt to exchange data between platforms.
4. You need some real experts to answer that one! Construction models need more detail and more time-flow information to be useful. I've read that the difference between fabrication and architectural models is that the former is a collection of parts assembled to make a whole while an architectural model is a whole broken down into parts.
5. Don't know
