creating walls under stairs and landings

What's the quickest, easiest way to create walls under my stairs and landings aside from creating short walls and editing profiles?

I'm sure there are a few ways to do this. I've attached an example of one way. Take a look. To get the walls to have the correct slope I've attached them to sloped reference planes. Editing the profile probably works too, but I've never liked that function and the edges of the edit can move without warning.
