Hello all,

I've been struggling with this for a while .. but unfortunately I didn't achieve what I wanted. Please look at the attached pictures.

The problem is that Revit automatically joins the cores of the floor and wall no matter the priority of the layer between core boundaries. In my case I don't want Revit to do that. Is there a way to somehow make the wall and floor connect the way I drew it in Capture4, to ignore auto core joining and to be done by following the set priorities.

If you’re using Revit 14 or 15, offset the base of your wall down to the floor layer you want and join (join geometry tool) the floor with the wall and then use Switch Join Order option under the join geom. tool (click on blk triangle to expand). If you have more than one condition like that, check Multiple Switch option on the options bar.

In the floor properties layers, raise the Core Boundary from line 5 to line 3.

This will move the join condition from the above the Concrete Cast-in Place layer to above the Concrete-Reinforced layer.
