Hi Everyone,

New on the forum.

Does anyone know how to automatically make the wiring of an electrical or lighting plan in Revit Architecture 2014?

In the Autodesk Revit Help it is said that:

Click Modify | Electrical Fixtures, or Modify | Lighting Fixtures tabhttp://help.autodesk.com/cloudhelp/2014/ENU/Revit/images/ac.menuaro.gifCreate Systems panelhttp://help.autodesk.com/cloudhelp/2014/ENU/Revit/images/ac.menuaro.gifhttp://help.autodesk.com/cloudhelp/2014/ENU/Revit/images/GUID-B5E281E5-FDDD-4405-8FE4-407D29CAB419.png Power.

The only problem is, when selecting several electrical and lighting components, the Power button does not appear!

After further research, it seems that the creation of electrical connector having the same properties is needed in each family imported in the project to be part of an electrical system.

Even after checking that, the Power button does not show up.

Does this feature truly exist in Revit Architecture 2014 or is it only part of Revit MEP ?

If not, what are the pre-requirements to make it work ?

Thank you in advance for your precious help.

Cheers!

Vincent

Power and Circuiting features are only available as part of Revit MEP. You can place the content but you can't create circuits or place wiring annotation without Revit MEP, or Revit (all Revit features in one installation as part of the Building Design Suite Premium or Ultimate).

Hi Steve,

I am having the same problem as Vincent but I am using just Revit (all in one), but the educational version. Do you think that the educational version might be an issue when creating systems?

Many thanks!
