How would one create an adjustable detail component similar to the autocad dynamic block shown here? It also has the ability to turn on or off gyb board on either side (I think) and stretch to fit the space.
I am about to bring my new workplace into Revit and I noticed that a bunch of their autocad details use this dynamic block.

Thanks for any help.

CAD-1 has some good webinar videos in their archives (http://www.cad-1.com/archives/) about detailing/detail components in Revit that will get you pointed in the right direction. While it will take time to get your detail component library to the same level, your office's dynamic block library didn't happen in a day either.

At a glance, I think you'd want to use a line-based generic template, plus using reference planes and visibility parameters (for turning the gyp bd on and off).

Thank you for the help. I will look them over and give it a go.
