Ceiling grid line weight

Is there a way to create a heavier line weight for new ceiling grid, compared to existing ceiling grid? I tried to use the line work tool with no success. Is there a way to change the line weight in the .pat file?

YOu can make an existing ceiling material that has the surface pattern a grey tone instead of black.

While working in our previous firm we had a similar dilemma. There was no way to show it differently, except for creating 2 different ceilings which would be new and existing (or demo) (faking the phasing for materials) and what we did was have the demo shown with no material (so empty ceiling with dashed border). This doesn't help what you are trying to do, but this is how we settled the graphics without working too much against Revit (like drawing the ceiling tile with model lines and demo'ing all of them in the proper phase, or leaving them as existing...)

Is there a way to create a demo ceiling grid .pat file? Will Revit use that dash line type?
