View Full Version : Controlling lineweights on imported dwg files???

I inserted a topo/survey into my project. The surveyor has all of his text notes and they come out very faint and weak.

I am trying to avoid exploding the .dwg file to keep it from getting very complicated too fast. How can I modify the boldness or lineweight of this text in question?

TIA,

JJ

I never noticed the "foreground" / "background" option before on the toolbar...that did the trick just fine fyi.

You can also change the lineweights of a non-exploded file by going into settings>object styles, then go to the Imported DWG tab and you can change color and thickness that way, that's what we usually do around here and it works quite well. :D

You can also do it in the view property / by modifying the visibility.
You get in the DWG/DWF/DCN categories the list of all the layers of the AutoCAD drawing you've inserte d.
Now you can
have a halftone for all the drawing
change the line style for every layer (they became categories)
hide the layers

Doing this in view property allows you to do it, with differents colors in every view.
