View Full Version : auto-crop region when creating section and elevation views?

I did spend some time researching this before posting, but perhaps I wasn't using the correct terminology....

What I want to know is can Revit automatically snap the crop region for sections and elevations based on what level they were created on?
At the moment, and perhaps due to my own naiveté, I have to manually set the crop region every time I create a new section or elevation, which can be tedious when working on project with +100 levels!

Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Justin

I'm pretty sure you are stuck with the crop region boundary that REVIT provides upon creation of the section. Keeping in mind that the top and bottom of the section views' crop region is established to include the highest and lowest model elements that are cut. If a wall (or any other model element) being cut extends way up so will the views crop region.

Dang, well I guess I'll file that under annoying, but not tragic. It's weird that when you snap a camera view it seems to know right where you are.....

thanks!
